Where To Find It

Common Path: Sales > Pipeline

Exact access can depend on your QCRM role. If the menu item is not visible, ask an administrator to review your permissions.

How It Works

  • The pipeline groups active deals by stage.
  • Deal cards link back to full deal details for editing and follow-up.
  • The page also highlights useful related actions such as opening leads, calendar, reports, or quotes.

Important Fields And Controls

Field Or ControlWhat It MeansWhen To Use It
StageCurrent opportunity step.Controls which column shows the deal.
AmountExpected opportunity value.Use for pipeline value review.
OwnerResponsible user.Use to discuss accountability.
Next stepPlanned action.Use to identify whether the deal is moving.

Recommended Workflow

  1. Open Pipeline from the Sales section.
  2. Scan columns from early stage to negotiation.
  3. Open any deal that has no clear next step or outdated value.
  4. Move back to Deals to update records as needed.
  5. Use Reports for deeper review after the visual scan.

Best Practice

  • Keep stages current; an outdated stage makes the pipeline misleading.
  • Use the pipeline for review, but update the deal detail page for complete information.
  • Review dormant and lost deals separately so the pipeline stays focused on active work.

Troubleshooting

  • If a deal is missing, check whether it is closed, lost, dormant, or filtered out by permissions.
  • If a stage looks overloaded, open the deals and update next steps or close stale items.
  • If values are not useful, make sure deal amounts are entered consistently.

FAQ

Can I edit directly from the pipeline?

Open the deal card, then edit the deal details.

Is pipeline the same as reports?

No. Pipeline is visual. Reports provide detailed table and export views.
