Exact access can depend on your QCRM role. If the menu item is not visible, ask an administrator to review your permissions.

How It Works

  • Each supported entity has a numbering row.
  • Patterns can include one counter token such as {0000} and date tokens such as {yyyy}, {yy}, {MM}, and {dd}.
  • The preview shows the next number before saving.

AreaWhat It Is Used For

Recommended Workflow

  1. Open Number Sequences from Setup.
  2. Review the row for the entity you want to configure.
  3. Enter a pattern and check the preview.
  4. Set next value, increment, and reset period.
  5. Save the row and test by creating a new record.

Best Practice

  • Use short prefixes such as LEAD-, DEAL-, Q-, ORD-, CASE-, or TCK- if your business wants readable references.
  • Avoid changing numbering patterns in the middle of a reporting period unless users are notified.
  • Reset counters only when the duplicate-number risk is understood.

Troubleshooting

  • If the preview shows an error, check that the pattern contains one counter token.
  • If a number is not generated, confirm the sequence is active.
  • If duplicate numbers occur, review manual numbers and sequence next value.
