How It Works

  • Locations are setup records with address, contact, status, and optional parent location.
  • A location can be marked default when it is the primary location.
  • Active locations are normally selectable in related workflows.

  5. Keep the record active while users should select it.

Best Practice

  • Use clear names such as Dubai Warehouse or Riyadh Service Office.
  • Keep country and state codes consistent.
  • Deactivate closed locations instead of deleting if historical records use them.

Troubleshooting

  • If a location cannot be selected elsewhere, check active status.
  • If maps or coordinates are wrong, review latitude and longitude values.
  • If time-related records look wrong, check both user and location time zones.

Can locations be nested?

Yes, use parent location when a sublocation belongs under another location.

Should every company branch be a location?

Only when QCRM workflows need to track that branch separately.
